That old sign still marks the spot on Old Statesville Road where the little brick building sits just north of Lake Norman Charter School. It used to be The Butter Bean Village Market. Now, it's the location of Sweet Home NC Bakery & Stuff. Come on in and check us out. We bake everything fresh in our little kitchen, right here on site. Please spread the word! We bake totally from scratch the way many of our mothers and grandmothers used to do.
Our signature items are ClarCake, an old-fashioned lemon pound cake; RustyRolls, our soft, melt-in-your-mouth yeast dinner rolls; and LisaLoops, our version of a cinnamon roll - with or without nuts. BUT... if your favorite is not on the menu just tell us and we'll make it. Our goal is to please you.
And of course, you might want something cold or hot to drink with your pastries. We have soft drinks, milk, juice, tea, fresh-brewed coffee, hot chocolate, and bottled water for you to choose. You can grab it to go or eat it here. We have WiFi, so you can even get a little work or studying done. Just make certain you take home some RustyRolls for dinner and several of our sweet treats for dessert :) Your family will appreciate your thoughtfulness and we will too.
